I attended yesterday's Watchtower meeting and found how dishonest the WTS really is.

In paragraph1,I found that if you read Acts:10:22,34-48 the apostles were ordered to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ not ordered to preach.

Then Peter said, 47 "Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have." 48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.

Also in your opening statement you asked:Why does the WTS reference only one outside source and why that one?

Paragraph 6 they reference one scholar (who had an extensive analsis of the Christian Greek Scriptures) that Paul went preaching "house to house". What didn't they name this scholar? MAYBE....JUST MAYBE.....there wasn't a real Scholar but just the writing department making it up.

Then in paragraph 11,they name a book written by David G. Stewart who states how Jehovah's Witnesses missionary work has proven to be more effective than abstract,theoretical(urgings from pulpits).

i found that you could never turn to anyone in the congregation to either question,criticize, or complain about something inside organization.

I found that you could never turn to anyone in the congregation to either question,criticize, or complain about something inside organization. If you did question,criticize,or complain,it was you who was either spiritually weak,sinning,didn't go out in service enough,were missing too many meetings,materialistic,and had bad associations.And maybe it was you who was defective and not the organization.

Since joining JWN,I found that all JWN members can't have all these defects the WTS claims we have. Something happened in each of our lives to come to this forum. Some question,some complain,and some criticize but each person was under the mind control of the WTS.

I've learned that by the use of mind control the WTS will always exist.Only with this forum our voices are heard.This is our only way to speak.

Are most Jehovah's Witnesses zealous,fence sitters,or going thru the motions?

There are close to 7 million baptised Jehovah's Witnesses in the world. Most start off real zealous in meeting attendance and preaching work. Some remain zealous but most cool off sooner or later. They become fence sitters(they live double lives) or just go thru -the- motions( they do the bare minimum). For some,it becomes a religious club where you meet and fellowship.

So my question is..........How many of these 7 million so called faithful Jehovah's Witnesses are still zealous....fence sitters...going thru-the-motions?

my mom,dad,uncles,aunts,and grandparents were all raised catholic.

they were all baptised and married in the catholic church.. one day in the early 1960's,a witness preached to my uncle.

he started a bible study and later had his immediate family join in.

One day in the early 1960's,a Witness preached to my uncle. He started a Bible study and later had his immediate family join in. He got baptized and started to preach to his sisters,brothers,parents,and friends. He became an Elder in the early 1960's and continues to this day. Today,there are over 25 family members who are baptised Jehovah's Witnesses.All of them are going strong except me. I'm the only one who is inactive. I now know that the teachings,beliefs,doctrines,and practices of the WTS are all false.

Who was the first person in your family to become a Witness? Who is still a member and who has dropped out?

th is an interesting point.

apostates always bang on about watchtower double speak and the way the society twists words, investing them with mind-control triggers but rarely do we hear about censorship by omission, the words jw's can't speak.

I was talking to my cousin one time who was an Elder and said to him........ HOLY COW! He told me that cows ain't Holy and Witnesses shouldn't use words like that.

Contradictory beliefs and faulty reasoning re. Jehovah 'blessing' the work

you will hear jws coming out with two things that are completely contradictory which they take to both prove the same thing.. 1. they have massive growth and that proves that jehovah is blessing the work they do.

2. they are not as large as the catholic church which proves that they are the 'narrow path' leading to salvation.

so, having a lot of followers and also not having a lot of followers are both proof that you are the one and true religion.. hmmn, ok ... but there is more.. think about what they believe regarding #1 above ... that growth is evidence that jehovah is blessing their work.. how does that work exactly?.

when i finally knew that the wts didn't have the truth,i decided to take steps to slow down and become an inactive member.

( i still have my whole family in.......so..... i prefer to remain inactive).

I still attend some Sunday meetings and attend every Memorial.

I always thought that the WTS was a Bible based religion and everyone was there to learn the Bible and apply it in their lives. Everyone had their own Bible and carried it to every meeting. All talks,magazine articles,service meetings,assemblies,and home Bible studies,the Bible was used. We were taught that only the Witnesses read or understood the Bible.

I now know that the WTS is just a real estate and book publishing corporation hiding in the name of religion. They publish too many books,produce too many bi-weekly Watchtower magazines,yearbooks,calenders,and way too much literature for everyone to read. The meetings are nothing but a sales meeting to inspire the troops and send them out for mass distribution. (Make sure that everyone hands in a time slip every month so the WTS keep track of who is loyal or needs the whip).

John 10:16

OTHER SHEEP = It is commonly understood that Jesus was referring to the future Gentile believers as His "other sheep." He was telling His Jewish disciples that His flock would include believers from all nationalities. But Jehovah's Witnesses attach a different meaning to this text. They contrast the "other sheep" here with the "little flock" mentioned in Luke 12:32. JWs say the "little flock" are the 144,000 spirit-anointed believers who make up the body of Christ and who will go to heaven, while the "other sheep" include all other believers who receive everlasting life here on earth. JWs teach that the opportunity to become part of the "little flock" ended back in the year 1935, so more than 99 percent of JWs today consider themselves in the "other sheep" class. To refute the doctrine that Christians are divided into heavenly and earthly classes, see Revelation 7:4 (about the "little flock" of the 144,000), and Revelation 7:9 (about the "great crowd" of "other sheep"). In addition, JWs teach that all pre-Christian believers are in the "other sheep" class, thus Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, the prophets, and so on, do not go to heaven. The best response is to read Hebrews 11:1-40 with a special emphasis on Hebrews 11:13, 16 showing they desired a "heavenly" country and a "city."
